An Evening with Alistair Begg was Amazing!

An estimated 850 people packed out Culpeper Baptist Church on Wednesday night November 12th to hear Alistair Begg speak at Culpeper Baptist Church.  "Immersed", made up of  Lee Catherine Clayton and Cammie Shelatz, filled the sanctuary with music as people entered and then they lead everyone in the beautiful hymn "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing".  Pastor Dan Carlton, the new pastor at Culpeper Baptist Church, welcomed everyone and Pastor Phil Walker introduced Alistair.  As always, Alistair taught straight from the Word of God and his message was on forgiveness and humility.  It was powerful and I believe we will see fruit from it for a long time!  We have heard only great comments about the event.  Also we heard many people say how much they enjoyed seeing people they hadn't seen for a long time.  Bringing Alistair to Culpeper was planned and organized by a special Steering Committee originating from Stevensburg Baptist Church.  Members of the committee were Gary Close, Stevensburg Baptist Church, Sally Buchanan, WPRZ, Pastor Jeff Light, Novum Baptist Church, Pastor Howie Holmes, Providence Baptist Church, Pastor Dan Carlton, Culpeper Baptist Church, Pastor Joe Holland, Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church, Pastor Phil Walker, Stevensburg Baptist Church, Chris Martin, Wayne Duncan, and Bruce Baxley. We are praying about another event for next year and would appreciate any comments or suggestions you might have.  Send them along to Sally at sally@wprz.org.
