Thank you to everyone who gave a donation to WPRZ-FM in December and at the end of the year! Your prayers and gifts have put us in a much better position and we are so thankful! Though the crisis is temporarily over for now, we still have a long way to go to reach our 2nd year goal of $15,000.00 a month in funding for the station. We are going to work hard at reaching that goal! We would appreciate your prayers as we go forth talking with more churches, individuals, families, and businesses… sharing what a tremendous opportunity it is to partner with WPRZ-FM in this amazing work that God has raised up here! Thank you to all our listening friends who have supported WPRZ-FM this year! Our new station has been on the air now for a little over a year and a half and the outpouring of calls, emails, and letters has been incredible! Never before in our 30 years of broadcasting have we received such a response to our programming! WPRZ-FM is truly a light in the darkness, shining the truth of God’s Word into cars, homes, and workplaces 24/7 bringing hope and encouragement to all who will listen. We know God is directing our every step.
Normally it takes about 3 ½ years for a station to become established which means enough revenue coming in to meet expenses. Our immediate goal is to reach $15,000.00 a month in support. We are about half way there... good... but because our funds were used up sustaining the ministry while waiting on the FCC to grant our license, we have no “reserve” funds left from which to draw. We have cut expenses every where we can but still have not been able to meet all our obligations. Some of them are critical now... and unless we can meet them by the end of the month, WRPZ may be in jeopardy. We know God is in control and we know that you would want to know about the situation we are in so you can help.
We need $40,000.00 to get the station in the black by December 30th. It is urgent... and it is critical. We can do this if we all work together and everyone does what he or she can do. If 10 families or businesses would give $3,000.00 and 10 families or businesses would give $1,000.00 we could be free of this burden and WPRZ would be ready for the New Year to come.

Be the first to call with the correct answer to our question about the Christmas Story and you will win! This will be WPRZ’s 16th year as a Relay Collection Center for this wonderful project. We are hoping for 4,000 gift-filled shoe boxes to arrive here! They will bring joy and hope to children in desperate situations all around the world.
We need some strong individuals to help pack the shoe boxes into cartons and move the cartons into the big truck! If you would like to volunteer, call us at 540-349-1250 to sign up.

What a very special time this is going to be as God’s people come forth and pledge from their hearts and treasures to support God’s work at WPRZ!!
We have a couple of major opportunities before us that at this time we see no way to achieve. But we know that God can make a way where there seems to be no way, and we are trusting in Him to show us the way.

WPRZ is pleased to be a sponsor for the upcoming “Walk United Conference and Ministry Expo” taking place September 9th through 11th at Eastern View High School in Culpeper. This conference is the result of the prayers of many people over the past several years. This is a very special time for the people of God in this region!! The times are critical. You don’t want to miss this conference!!!
Speakers include Dr. Tom Blackaby from Vancouver British Columbia, Bishop Harry Jackson from Washington D. C., Reverend Steven P. Burke from “The Lord Will Provide Ministries” in Texas, Pastor Dave Wheatly, Culpeper Minister of Youth, Rev. Nancy Sharman, National Day of Prayer Coordinator Eastern US, Rev. Ludwell Brown, USA (Ret) “9-11 Anniversary Prayer for Peace”, and more. There will be great Praise and Worship music throughout each day and we will worship as one, and we will pray as one. The Practical Ministry Expo will help all of us with networking with each other to accomplish God’s purposes for each of us.
The Conference begins Friday at 6:00 pm and continues to 10 pm. Then Saturday all day from 9 am to 10 pm, then on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. A complete schedule can be found on the "Walk United In Christ" website.

WPRZ is pleased to be a Ministry Partner with Hope Christian Fellowship’s 2011 Youth Drama Camp’s production of Willy Wonka! Two shows will be presented at Highland School on Friday, July 29. Showtimes are 6:10 pm and 8:10 pm. Tickets are free but a love offering will be taken and proceeds will go to CareNet Pregnancy Resource Centers of Warrenton, Manassas and Woodbridge. CareNet is a life-saving, life-changing ministry interceding for the unborn, caring for the mothers that carry them, and ministering healing to those in crisis pregnancies and those in need of healing from abortion.
